Success with Jamg He High Wax Plus? Castable Resin Review
Will Jamg He High Wax Plus deliver good castings for delicate jewelry and larger figurines? Find out in my review! I test this castable resin on a variety of jewelry pieces, a miniature figurine, and even heavier statues and sculptures. I also provide 3D printer settings and my burnout schedule for your reference. The resin was printed using an Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra (review coming soon!). Making Triforce Earrings in Silver
That was amazing, dude. It looks amazing! I also quite enjoyed the process surprisingly even though I've always been the kind of guy to just skip to the results. It must've taken you a lot of time and effort. Thankfully, they paid off with how good the result is
How much?
Could you name the investment you are using to mix the boric acid? Thanks
I use prestige optima.
@@SterlingKisses thanks 🙏
that is a pretty badass soldier , ready to kick butts, great game and well represented and also crafted by the hands of a artist.Love the music too ❤
Thanks! I'm very happy you enjoyed the video.
Do you have experience with bluecast x-one? Which is better, jamghe or bluecast?
Sorry but I don't have any experience with blue cast so I can't compare them.
Ooh! As a doll collector this will be an amazing marker to use to touch up or color jewelry to make it shiny, I think since most of my dolls are for display only I wont have to worry much about smudging. I do wonder however if the pigment stains other surfaces. Thanks for the cool video!
damn this is a gem on UA-cam now! 2024!
It's really strange seeing this get traction all of a sudden on UA-cam all these years later lol
@@SterlingKisses i know it was in recommended too, just so you know ahah
very helpful video!! I've been looking for a good top coat for my chrome pen fixes on my bag hardware 🥰🥰🥰
thank you 🥰🥰
nice video!
Could I ask what investment you used? With that massive of a print it’s crazy to see no cracks in the envestment
I used Prestige Optima 38:100. I also add 1% boric acid by investment weight
Gel nail top coat with uv light might work as well
Use molotow clear coat. U use it on canvases and models it still shines
Awesome. I was obsessed with this version of the arwing as a kid. Drew it all the time in school. Gonna print this but scale it up just a bit bigger to go with my other larger jets.
It's still one of the coolest spaceship designs out there. Good luck with your own build!
If you didn't have your Xfire profile at the bottom of a forum post, you were a nobody!
Great work and really nice video! I recently switched to using Jamghe High Wax Plus resin as well, and I've been getting great castings with it.
Thank you! Glad you have found success with it as well.
Great tutorial!
Do you offer casting as a service from a provided 3d print ready model?
Sorry but I don't offer such a service. Thank you for asking though.
this is exceptional!!
Good Video, nice work!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
I wonder if the candy ink finish would give it a color chrome.
0:30 On a standard set of six sided dice we have decided that the opposite sides should add up to seven. However, no matter what the die (only on even dice as odd number dice can’t have this happen) the opposite side should be one plus the number of faces on that die, the only exception in the standard D4 (pyramid shaped). For example on a 20, on the number 20 side the opposite side should show the one. Yes this should be cast on a D10 and D8 the side that is facing up should equal to eleven or nine respectively from the side that is face down. If this isn’t the case then the dice is improperly made. This should even be the case on a spin-down D20, the spin-down d20 also shows another thing we do about standard dice, every set of pairs 20&1, 19&2, 18&3, and so on are flipped across the die so that the dice is more balanced, but that probably doesn’t make that much of a difference, unless someone is trying to get on one side over the other. In other word the are cheating and have practiced with their dice to get the higher side. One thing I just noticed one thing, there are even and odd sides on d6s, d8s, d10s, d20s and the percentile dice and even on my d14 and d16 but not on the d4s, d12s and the d24 that I have, I don’t know why that they altered the d12s (the d24 is so rare that it really doesn’t matter same for the d14 and d16). Maybe it is because you can look at the face of the D12 but with d6s, d8 and d10s you have to look at a point on the die but that doesn’t hold true for the d20. Weird.
Man, such an awesome looking model! All the care that went into the building process clearly shows your love for the game. Perfect blend of the in-game model and the render from the promotional arts/comics in order to create what most kids pictured in their mind. I'm more of the N64 era fan, but I have to admit that your creation is making a solid case for the OG Arwing design! Very inspiring to look at! Thank you very much for sharing the process, you deserve way more views.
Thank you! It would be cool to do some N64 designs like this some day. I've been thinking about doing the landmaster and blue marine...
@@SterlingKisses I 100% support the idea of more builds like this in the future! ...especially of the Landmaster, that would be rad.
Thank you for this review. Had to dig through a lot of very poorly produced ones to find yours, which was well explained, thorough in experimentation, and professionally written and edited.❤
Thanks for watching! Hope it was helpful.
Found a good protective coating for that chrome pen? Neat! It dulling easily is quite the recurring problem for most people that want to restore chrome items easily with that pen. So neat to see a way to coat it without dulling it. And have you heard of a chrome paint called “MIRROR” by Stuart Semple before? I’ve heard it’s pretty good too and doesn’t need a air brush, but regular paint brushes instead.
It takes a long time to fully dry
Do you have to use alclad lacquer or will any lacquer work for keeping the mirror shine?
I didn't test any other lacquer so it may depend on the brand. Someone else here in the comments mentioned using Tamiya x22 clear gloss with success.
@@SterlingKisses ok thank you!
Hey man this was very helpful and thorough! Thank you for what you do!
is there a way to use a brush or a airbrush with the liquid chrome? i only see them in availible as marker..
Yes, they sell refills for the marker that you could pour into an airbrush instead. Or you could open the marker and pour out the liquid if you can't find the refills.
¡Artista! <3
You needed to pump cuz there wasn't much liquid coming of your nib.
❤️❤️❤️!! I wish I could get this pre-made! 😭 I don't have the ability to make it myself, even with the kit 😞😞😞
It's too gatdanged beautiful
It is very very beautiful! I love Starfox and the Arwing is my favourite craft ever! Fantastic work!
1:44 ...Just like Fox, on Venom!
Why couldn't the original Arwing unlockable look like this in Star Fox Zero? It didn't have to follow the EXACT SNES look to the letter.
Do yourself a favor try Zoet Chrome pens better finish at a quarter of the price
日本ではアルクァッドのトップコートは手に入らないので私はタミヤの角瓶のx-22クリアとエナメル溶剤を1:3の割合で希釈して使用してます。エアブラシで吹きかければほぼ光沢を失わずにトップコートが可能です。
life saviour! btw for anyone curious, this worked for me with citric acid and removing a drill bit from a copper pendant
I'm glad it worked for you!
What was the material of the broken drill bit - carbon steel or stainless steel? By the ease of dissolving, probably carbon steel. If so, what would you use for stainless steel in silver?
How to remove chrome marker from Lego-type plastic? Is there a thinner? Thank you.
Fantastic technique for dissolving broken bits. Sending love and warm greetings from Missouri.
I only used Refll bottle with Mr Hobby 400 thinner and Tartar pick to paint the large surface with NO penstroke ua-cam.com/video/lIX1u7l3NPs/v-deo.html
Great technique!
Real high quality re-creation, great work man.
Love the idea of using a milk jug for mixing investment... I wonder if it'll fit under the bell on my Kaya Cast!
It did! And it was SO much better than the metal mixing bowl I'd been using!
@@dsdellinger Glad it worked out for you!
hi, your webstie has a spelling error for the link you just posted in the description. (i went to check out the dice and other stuff on there.)
Hey, good catch! Thank you for letting me know.
Looks great! Well done ) I wonder what size it is? About 3 cm?
Thank you. And yes, you are about spot on! 3.2cm
Would putting the chrome marker and the alclad 2 lacquer varnish on a lego knife handle prevent the chrome from chipping off?
Yes, I think it would hold up well with a couple of coats of the alclad
@@SterlingKisses nice. How much do the markers and the lacquer varnish cost?
@@Krueger_ai I don't think it was much more than $25 total.
Can you polish the lacquer? 🤔
That's a good idea. I don't think it's damaging the liquid chrome when it's applied, so polishing the lacquer might restore the strong mirror finish. I'm not sure how to go about polishing the lacquer though.
I have done bench work my entire life. I love this video and your editing!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
